What This Tests
Value-first problem decomposition — identifying where AI creates leverage vs. where simpler solutions suffice.
tips_and_updates
How to Answer
Use an impact-feasibility matrix: (1) Map each step's current cost (time, error rate, manual effort). (2) Assess AI feasibility (data availability, evaluation clarity, risk tolerance). (3) Score each step on business impact × technical feasibility. (4) Start with the highest-scoring step that has a clear success metric. (5) Explicitly deprioritize steps where a simple rule or UI fix would solve the problem.

Common Mistakes
- ✗Assuming AI is the right solution for every inefficient step
- ✗Not quantifying the current cost of each step before proposing AI
- ✗Prioritizing technical elegance over business impact
